| The Flight Training Process |

The flight training process usually takes from 3-6 months depending
upon your availability, your ability to study and learn the required
material, and your aptitude to quickly learn new motor skills.
1. Presolo: This phase progresses from your first flight to
your first solo flight. You will learn aircraft preflight,
operations of aircraft systems, ground and flight procedures,
emergency procedures and landing.
2. Cross Country: The second phase you will learn new skills
like navigation, flight planning, aircraft performance, night
flying, and expanding your skills with performance takeoff and
landings.
3. Practical Test Prep: The final phase of your training
focuses on honing your skills and knowledge as an aviator in
preparation of the FAA private pilot checkride.
Learning Components
There are 2 learning components to getting your Private Pilot
Certificate.
Ground Training – Learning the aeronautical knowledge
required to operate as a safe and efficient pilot and to pass the
FAA Knowledge Test.
Flight Training - Training one on one with your certified
flight instructor, you will learn the aeronautical skills required
to master the aircraft. |
